Quirky Tag

I've just got tagged by Ameh! haha. I'ma do my best on this one. hugah hugah.

Rules :
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. List 6 unspectacular quirks you have.
4. Tag 6 bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each taggee's blog to let them know they've been tagged. Kindly share with us your unspectacular quirks : So, I'm interested to know what quirky habits you have, dont ignore okay?

#1__ I tend to laugh, giggle or chuckle at the end of every sentence.
Ganjil kan? Sa mo try ubah tu. It's weird when I come to think about it.

#2__I get a lot of sudden snappy hyperactive moments.
Macam urm... sa pandai tiba2 ja rasa mo lari2 or banyak cakap. But mostly I tend to have this sudden urge to sing my lungs out to all the rock songs. When that happens, habis satu rumah bising. Sometimes it rains too. Haha

#3__I stutter a bit and "sasul" or tounge-twisted a lot
I dunno why, but I notice that I kinda stutter when I talk. And often tersasul and berbelit2 kalo bercakap. Adeh, mcm retarded sikit ni. Haha.

#4__I like the smell of a cat or dog's paws.
Yes I do. Haha. It's just like, you know your bantal busuk? The smell is like that for me. Hehe

#5__I am easily attracted to shiny and glossy things.
Especially beautiful glossy glass. Good example is the place where they sell all those pretty lamps and chandeliers, or urm, sculptures made of glass. Or sequins and many more. My eyes will be fixated on those kinda things.

#6__ I tend to think "aloud".
I say out loud the things I think when I'm trying to make a decision or say whatever I'm thinking when I'm alone. Make sense ka? hahah

So those are some of the quirks in me. There's a lot more actually but can't really think now, malas mo pikir sebenarnya. haha.

Bulan 10 Di Sandakan

Hullo Bloggie~~ long time no see! Hohoh. Been away to Sandakan for 5 days, and there was no internet connection at my dad’s new place(temporary). So, I had to live a 5 days’ life of no internet. But, it wasn’t that bad after all. Besides, I was busy helping my mom clean up the house. The house was so damn big(for me that is), that it took us 2 days(starting from Tuesday) to finish cleaning. The house wasn’t that helplessly dirty but the condition of it was so da very kesian, u know. Just imagine, rows of the floor tiles downstairs and upstairs were popping out, like long triangular hills. I accidentally stepped on top of one of them that my weight cracked it flat back to the ground. Oops. Haha. Oh, and another thing, the house looked more of a jailhouse than a house. There were grills everywhere! At the windows and doors, and the best part is, there were grills at the threshold of the staircase upstairs. They weren’t like those nice pretty grills as you always see – they were bulky black grills with overly done patterns on them. I should’ve taken a picture as proof. One thing good about the house is that you can see the sea from the balcony. It's not so breathtaking though as it is not so high up the hill enough to overlook the vast sea, only a portion of it.

After awhile I understand why the house has so many grills. According to my friend’s dad and uncle, the area where the house is at is a black area, there are many squatter houses there. Yes, I noticed that too and it was kinda scary. There’s a high school nearby, I remember walking to that school to wait for a friend to pick me up by the road side, and there were two groups of school boys a short distance from me infront. All of them looked like punks and were doing the thug-walk with cigarette in one hand. I was behind them and I was like, “shiet, of all the time, why must it be now”. I was a bit nervous, but then I looked at them and they were only some skinny small fries compared to me. I think I’m more tagap than them. LOL. But I was still outnumbered. Dammit. Haha. Anyways, nothing happened to me, in fact they didn’t even looked twice at me. At one point I even thought I wasn’t attractive enough.. hmm. HAHA buduh.

The friend which was to pick me up at the road side was none other than my old time National Service friend at Kem Millennium two years back, Nur Mima Thalhata! Full name lagi. Met up with her and her cousin, and she was still the same ol’ Mima a.k.a Ayu. Gosh, I missed her. Some girl she is, with her own little world and very friendly character. Ironically, she’s much much more slimmer now than when we were in camp last time. Haha. We went to makan and took some pictures at the photo booth. We were so sakai that it took us about an hour, 30 mins more than the given time, for us to finish. Hahaha. It was our first time okay. She belanja me the whole day and I appreciated it very much. Mwah2 Mima ku sayang.

So that was already Thursday.

Moving on to Friday.

We made a move for our journey back home at noon. Stopped at a dusun buah salak in Beluran to buy some buah salak a.k.a bogung for people back home. That was my first time going to a dusun buah salak. I don’t know what they call buah salak in English, but I prefer to call it bogung. Haha. The type of bogung sold there is the honey type. It’s SO sweet and fleshy and they sell it for only RM1.50 per kilo! Normally, they sell them for RM5 to RM6 per kilo outside. But since we went straight to the dusun itself, it was much more cheaper. Triple-fold cheaper. My parents bought a whopping 10 kilos of bogung in the end. Haha. After that, the journey continued. Firstly, the journey from Sandakan to KK is basically like this:

Sandakan --> Telupid --> Ranau --> KK

Between each gap is approximately a 2 hours’ drive. So 2 X 3 = 6 hours of journey, without too many stops.

That was just some additional information I wanted to add. Hehe. Beluran is just along the way to Telupid, so in Telupid, closing to Ranau, my dad made another stop. He wanted to bring me to the Tagal Sungai Moroli, Kg Luanti(Ranau). The river was so clean and there were a lot of freshwater fish there(only one type though). Apparently the fishes are naturally there inhabiting the river and the owner of the river strives to keep it like that. "Tagal" in Kadazandusun means no fishing, so no fishing is allowed there, or else kena sogit(fined) 1 karabau for 1 fish. Haha. The fishes are bunch of friendly creatures. I just fed them simply by putting my fist with the food clasped in my palm on the water surface and all the fishes would start coming out of the water and sucking my fingers everywhere! Good thing they didn’t have any teeth. Phew~

It was already dark when we reached pekan Ranau. I think it was almost 7pm. Had light dinner there and continued heading home. The mist was quite thick along the Crocker Range especially after Kg Kiau. A bit difficult to see the road ahead but my dad is already so familiar with that road that I didn’t have to worry about the mist. Finally we reached home at around 9pm, exactly as my dad had approximated earlier on.

Pretty tired but it’s all good. And one more thing, Sandakan wasn’t as what I had expected it to be. It is a very much advanced town and surprisingly, there’s a lot of Chinese there too. And I also just knew that Sandakan is also known as “Little Hongkong”. No wonder there’s so many Chinese. Duh~ oh and also, Sandakan is a fresh seafood haven for those who LOVE seafood. They sell seafood there dirt cheap, it's unbelievable and plus, they're mostly freshly out of the water! Well, the sea is not that far from reach. You can see it from anywhere, which is very nice.

So there you go. Long summary for my 5 days in Sandakan. Sorry to torture you with only words and no pictures for this entry. Will post up the pictures once I got it.

Edited: this is the only photo I have of the condition of the floors at my dad's place.

Welcome Home

Dear Bloggie,

I'm back at home for holidays now. Touched down at around 10 something last night.

Was pretty tired because of lack of sleep - I was hooked on playing game I recently learned how to play until 7am(WARCRAFT III! Still a noob though. LOL). Had to meet Sis Grace at 9 that morning. After seeing her, went back to sleep at 11am 'til 1pm, I think. Woke up, finish up packing a bit more. Cook some rice for lunch, and cleaned my room and the house while waiting for the rice cooker's "warming" indicator to light up from "cooking". Asked Mr Daling-ku-sayang to take my clothes at the laundry shop downstairs and buy a can of sardins(for lunch. lol). Rice wasn't cooked yet, so I continued on cleaning the house. And when I say house, it's more like the living room because my place is quite small. So the only areas for me to do some quick cleaning are the kitchen and living room. But since the kitchen already looked pretty clean to me, so only left with the living room =p. Nothing much to do really, just a matter of sweeping and arranging things back in their places neatly. Halfway cleaning, my Daling-ku-sayang arrived with the sardins and I went straight to the kitchen and got miself busy; putung2 sayur and bawang smpai nangis2. HAHAHA. seriously. I was sobbing like mad. Damn you onions. Anyway, skipping all the details(like I should have done much earlier lol), the kitchen result is a Nasi Goreng Sardin! ahaha. The rice was so damn much(thanks to someone, he had to scoop out the whole rice cooker) that we were struggling to finish it up. Gahh.. but I gave most of it to him. Served him right. Haha. There's a picture I took of him with his hill of rice but I don't have it with me, oh well~ Finished lunch, went to take a sh0wer to cleanse all the sweats and the onion smell off me. Felt so salty that time like a ikan masin. After that, continued cleaning the living room. I know I know, shoulda done the cleaning before showering, but I couldn't take it anymore that time, I needed a shower badly. Cleaning up my room was much more tiring than the living room. So there you go. Well blah blah blah... done with all the cleaning and packing, changed my clothes and went straight to the airport. It was already 5 and my flight was at 7.30pm. And mind you, I was going to the airport by public transports. Thus, longer time required. I thought I couldn't make it in time to check in, but thank God everything was smooth sailing..~ phew. Met up with Lat at the airport and checked in. And guess what, I had to pay an extra RM15 during check-in 'cause my luggage overweighted for a kilo. Oh, and plus the "luggage handling fee" which was RM10. So the total amount I had to pay was RM25. Pui~ sakit hati btul. Didn't bring that much money(teda duit actually ahaha), so Bart had to pay some of it. Sowie dong~ Boarded the plane at 7 something and off we go to the Land Below The Wind! Lat and I watched new Russell Peters' New York act(2008). Damn funny. We were laughing like asses inside the plane where most of the people were sleeping. They were probably cursing us behind. LOL. Watched Love Guru too but didn't get to finish it because we were almost home! HOHOH~ touched down and thus, Home. hehe. So there you go, my not-so-interesting day. Dunno why I'm even blogging it down. Maybe 'coz now I've nothing to do and bored to death at home so I have all the time I need to do whatever I want to and in my case it's online and TV haha. I need a life.

P/S: Going off to Sandakan to join my dad tomorrow. Not sure if they got internet connection there. But, we'll see. Never been to Sandakan before, so I'm pretty excited. haha.

Fluffy

Yup, that's Fluffy. It's my housemate's cat. It's a "He" by the way. Look at him. I was busy on the laptop and of all places, he had to menyibuk and sleep beside me, not to mention leaning against my hand where it was occupied with my mouse, which made it difficult for me to move around with him leaning against it. He's SO manja. And look, even after I shifted my hand to a much more comfortable position, he slid down slightly from my pillow and still wouldn't budge, and continued sleeping instead! LOL. Lazy cat.

But I still sayang him anyways. FLUFFEH!

God Is A Good God!

Haha. Not being holy and all, but just now I was browsing through the internet for any hymns or christian spiritual songs to help me "lift up" my semangat to study in this very early morning. And I stumbled upon this clip. It's very uplifting! And it's also SO cool because songs are sung in so many MANY different languages.. by a black dood!(don't mean anything racist about it) Amazing. Anyway, here's the clip. Watch it, and you'll know what I mean. ENJOY~~

God is a good God!~~ yesss... help me in exam later on PLEASE! LOL.

My Soul Soothers...

**Take 5 from last-minute study**

I love Sarah McLachlan. She has one of the sweetest and soothing voices ever... it might be different for others, but her voice is just my cup of tea for a good easy-listening song. Whenever I listen to any of her slow numbers, it just relaxes and soothes me until deep in my soul. It's not just because of the melodies.. but the lyrics as well. They calm and even open up my eyes to the things around us. Different songs make me think about different things.. Let me just break it down some to you..

"Angel" and "I Will Remember You"
These songs remind me of those that we love who have left us for the after-life... and also, I plan to have these songs played for my funeral too(not being emo here. Just saying what's on my mind). Maybe I have these thoughts for these songs because of the movie "City of Angels" too? The song "Angel" is one of the OST's. Love that movie.

"World on Fire"
This song makes me think about the world today; all the sufferings that are happening right under our nose but we just don't realize it, or realize it but can't or don't really do much about it to help. The videoclip is the main factor why my eyes are open to these sorts of things. It shows exactly the things that we take for granted - be it big or small things, which could mean a lot and make a huge difference to the underprivileged women, men and children in other troubled and underdeveloped countries. ===> whoah... gila la si Ojoi. Brabis ba. haha

"Ice Cream"
And this number on the other hand is about love.. the tune of this song just makes me sway and daze to my own little world.. or even puts me to sleep. It's a very short song but nice enough to relax to... nothing negative in this one. =p

Well those are some of my favourites from Sarah McLachlan.
There are Aussie chick, Missy Higgins and talented Scottish lass, KT Tunstall too that could bright up my day or make my relaxing time worthwhile.

Missy Higgins:
"10 Days"
"Scar"
"Drowning"
"The River"

KT Tunstall:
"Universe and U"
"Suddenly I See"
"Stoppin' The Love"(check out her awesome live acoustic performance for this song)
"Silent Sea"(nice slow song)
"Other Side of The World"
"Heal Over"(I heart)

Okay, there are still many other great artists with great nice songs out there... but I've yet to discover them. hehe. Try checking out Yael Naim too. Her songs are not bad either.

Last but not least, a live performance by KT Tunstall for Jackson Five's "I Want You Back". AWESOME.

Alritey, back to books again *sigh*
Turrah~!

PONS

No Bloggie... not "Pons" as in Pondans~ haha. It's actually referring to the most well known and ever scary "lady ghost" in Asia.. or Southeast Asia? In Malaysia la pendek kata... it's the..

PONTIANAK

*girl-scream*
*jeng jeng jeng*

or Puntianak as we Sabahans call it. LOL.
Hereinafter, I shall refer it as Pons.

Well anyway, I was browsing through Youtube the other day(don't I always? haha), no, actually, it was Bart browsing through Youtube, and found a clip about Pons. He showed it to me, and I watched it... bear in mind that it was already around 4am that time. It's a home-video someone took at his home in Sandakan. He didn't intend to capture a footage of a Pons or whatsoever, but coincidentally the Pons was there(uuuuu~~~ *jeng jeng jeng* again. hahaha).

I've seen many ghost-sighting clips before(kinda a freak for this sorta thing =p), and to tell you the truth, there's not many that looked real to me. I did found some quite convincing videos though. Anyway, this Sandakan Pons video freaked me out in some ways. It could easily be deemed as fake 'coz really, it doesn't look like much effort needed to make the Pons just like the one in the video. BUT, still, it looks real to me. Probably you need to watch it yourself. It's just a short clip and I'ma post it up here. But before anything, I'd like to warn for those with faint hearts not to watch it. (eseh... mcm lebih2 ja ba haha)

And here comes the horror...... WHORE-ROARRRRRR... hahahah sempat lagi...

Pontianak in Sandakan

"hai slipar.." ---> lawak eh. haha. "pukul ampat lima minit" "Eish, si bui mana? tidur pula c bui ni, buring nya"

hahahaha.. klasik eh cara drg ckp. Sabah abis ni ba. hahaha

ba, about the video, it's up to you to what do you wanna make of it. huahua~

WHOAH!

HOLD ON!

dayum shit. Guess what, I was talking to my housemate about the video just now and she told me about another Pons video on Youtube. But, this time it's in Melaka. This one is a hair-raiser, coz you can actually hear the Pons crying... and it is damn scary, I tell you. Think you should take a look at it.

AGAIN, warning to faint-hearted people. This is a pretty scary shit.

Pontianak Menangis di Jambatan Pulau Gadong - Melaka

brr...heard that high-pitched cry almost like a squeal of a banshee? I dunno 'bout you, but that video sends chills down my spine. DAMN.

It's Like A Broken Record, It Keeps On Playing Endlessly In My Head

The Hunger - The Distillers

Holy eyes, I never knew I'd beg down at your feet

Hold on tight I never knew I'd know much more than this
Open sky, the wave of pain the scent of you is bliss
Hungry eyes, they stare at me I know, I know
Don't go!

Summertime, the taste of saint secretes of perfume mist
Console the mind, I take it in the lips of pink I kiss
Lonely sky, the more you take the more that I give in
Holy eyes, I never knew, I know, I know
Don't go!

Hold on to the memory, yeah, it's all you got
I know you'll be there to soak up blood lost
Blood lost
Blood lost

Don't go!

Hold on to the memory, yeah, it's all you got
I know you'll be there to soak up blood lost
Hold on to the memory, yeah, it's all you got
I know you'll be there to soak up blood lost
Blood lost
Blood lost

Happy Birthday BAPA KU

yup, it's my dad's birthday. He's now turned ...erm.... *taking a calculator to count*...

57!

huahua! All this while I thought it was 56. Haha. Anyways, I called him up at 12 just now to wish him. Seems like he was having some beer with his siblings, and earlier this evening he called me to check up on me, and he told me that when I come back home this 18th October(yes, I'm coming home soon baybeh~ haha), he'd already be in Sandakan - he's accepted the offer to work for the company for another year despite the fact that he had already extended one year previously. I want him to rest already actually. When I asked him why he had accepted the offer, I already knew what he was going to say. It's 'coz I'm still studying. I feel soooo guilty. Oh well, at least he's not paying for my tuition fees. Phew~ haha.

Well, anyhow..

HAPPY 57th BIRTHDAY DADDY!

Have fun BBQ-ing at home~! Sad I can't be there. Huhuh.
Love ya dy~
