Psst Psst..

I have good news to share to all shisha goers out there... For those who are staying in Cyberia Smarthomes(Cyberjaya), You should know the mamak resaurant upfront. But for those who don't know where the heck is Cyberia, try looking for Multimedia University. Cyberia is just next to it. Well anyway, they(the mamak restaurant) have...

FREE SHISHA!!
(woot woot~!)

Just a promotional offer for only 1 week(!!!) - Sunday should be the last day. But actually I'm not sure whether the 1 week started on this week itself or since last week 'cause I've already had some last week. Maybe they've extended it to 2 weeks?? cool~
So go ahead and rip them mamaks off! HAHA

and FYI, I had some again last night for the third time. I'm such a cheap-skate(and not to mention, thick-skinned too). Well, who doesn't like free stuff right? LOL.

Therefore, bring your loved ones, nemesis, cats(but not dogs. but you know what, maybe not cats too. cancel that out), whoever to that mamak restaurant and happy shisha-ing~ hahaha

Bart Who? Bart... (Simpson.. *theme song playing*)

Anak Membuas!

Lelengau amai ku ke nuan~

The Cherry Has Been Popped

Dear Blog,

In case you didn't know, which you don't, I had a performance in campus last night. It was my FIRST TIME singing in campus. I sang two songs, which were "Killing me Softly" by The Fugees and "Angels or Devils" by Dishwalla. I screwed up both songs, especially Killing Me Softly for the beginning part. I totally sang out of key, like 1 or 2 keys lower than the actual key. haha. Well, I wasn't the only one who was nervous like hell. Hanif was the same. I asked him to play guitar for me. He was so nervous that he asked me "Joyce what songs are we playing?" for about four times at four different times. hahah. I don't blame him. In fact, I totally understand because I was going through some serious nervous-breakdown as well. haha. It was my first time performing after highschool. Haha. During the second song, which was Angels Or Devils, I played guitar with Hanif and I screwed that up too. I forgot the chords and I strummed without tempo. But I don't think people heard it 'cause Hanif's guitar drowned mine as his was way louder, but I didn't mind. I sucked anyways. haha. So that was that. I think I did okay in the end(well at least, that's what they have been telling me LOL).

Maybe next time I can perform with Talie? yes, you Talie~ hmph. Hahah. Btw, Talie was supposed to play for me but then she went back to KK way too early. Hmph! hahaha

I have just uploaded the video for "Killing Me Softly" and still uploading the other video of the second song, which is taking a whole lot of siput time. Damn. It's getting on my nerve uploading videos on Youtube. Yea, I uploaded them to Youtube. Haha. Here's the already successfully uploaded video of Killing Me Softly

It was cool how they all sang with me for the chorus. It made my job a lot more easier and less awkward.

Well enjoy, and be free to laugh at me. haha

edited: the other video is finally uploaded! check it out.

Well well, that's my talented friend. In case you didn't know, she has quite a talent in music. I never knew she was so consumed with music until she told me that she had her own songs under her sleeves. And I didn't know how good she was in song-writing coz all I know at that time was that she's good at guitar-playing.. not until she let me hear some of her originals. I was amazed! They were actually good. Sa terhibur juga la mendengar..~ haha.

my supplementary exam results are just out(Remember that I previously failed two subject which were Maths III and Electromagnetic Theory). Well, I only passed Maths III and failed Electromagnetic. Boohoo~ looks like I'm gonna have to repeat Electro then.

I'm actually very grateful that I passed Maths III, because honestly, I'd been expecting to fail both. Haha. I was already prepared for the worst. So, to pass at least one subject is great enough for me. Seems that Someone had heard my prayer, and I thank You for that.

Okie that's all. Just some news flash for ya. hehe =p

Friday

Dear Blog,

Punish me for crossing my own resolution. Yea, I have a new resolution for this semester, that is not to miss any lectures or tutorials especially the morning ones, except when under certain circumstances. Well today I missed both of my morning lectures. *sigh* I overslept(stupid me slept very late the night before). Was feeling a bit guilty for not going to my lectures, I wonder what were all the important things that I had missed. I'm glad that I'm having this guilty conscience, because it shows that I'm concern about my studies. I haven't had this guilt since my hostel days, which was last year. One thing that makes me hate missing classes is that it would take me more time to study for exam as I have to try and understand everything on my own considering that I have a very slow pickup, haha and I hate to study everything from scratch. Since I'm a very last minute person, straining my brain too much of things in the eleventh hour stresses me to the max. Haha. I've noticed that lectures help me a lot in understanding a subject. It especially becomes most helpful for last-minute study =D. Ever since I moved out of hostel, I've become a total slob; I don't go to lectures for no reason or simply because I'm lazy, I don't exercise at all, and I sleep and eat a lot. All this is referring to last semester. And look what it got me - I flunked two out four subjects. Damn. That's enough to be a wake up call. Hence, my new resolution and disapointment for not going to class this morning.

But... psst psst..

I went jogging today. Yeepee-yay~ at least something else is still going on. Teehee~

You know what, I think I sounded like a total nerd just now. LOL. No harm in that though =)

But WAIT, don't start thinking that I'm very studious now 'coz I'm not. Haha. Still a last-minute person here. Let's just take things slow, will just try to attend all lectures and exercise for now. Hehe..

Jogging Update

Jogging Mission for today: SUCCESS

even though it was drizzling a little bit, I managed to jog one whole round, plus a 2-round walk. Thiveya was kind enough to accompany me that time and we even took some time to visit the lake, or septic lake as Lionel calls it, at the back of MMU. The lake is over-populated with these "ikan bandaraya"(that's what I've been told). Felt so tempted to just scoop some of them out with my bare hands, or maybe a net if it's really a septic lake. Yeaiks.

Well anyways, hopefully this mission won't come to an end anytime soon.

I Like To Move It, Move It!

FINALLY! I watched Madagascar! HAHA

The Movie was awesome! I dunno about the rest of you, but for me it's not much different from the previous one. They're equally hillarious. I had fun watching it at the cinema with Achul and Lena. The audience wasn't cool though, only a handful that actually laughed throughout the entire movie, that of course, including the three of us. At one time, I burst out laughing(or should I say shrieking? haha) alone at one scene when the whole audience was so quiet. It was embarassing and I think the guy next to me hated me for laughing at every scene. But seriously, he has got to learn to enjoy a good funny movie. I didn't see him laugh for even one time for goodness sake! What a waste. I don't wanna talk about the movie because it'll be a spoiler to those who haven't watched it yet(which you MUST!). *sigh* I don't mind watching the movie twice, that's how much I enjoyed the movie. Glad to have Lena sitting next to me at the cinema because I noticed that we kinda have a chemistry at watching movie at cinema. We would always be so noisy just like just now. Haha. She has exam this coming Thursday, but there's always a room for MADAGASCAR. Haha. Good luck in exam anyway bebeh. I'm very sure you can do it. LENA BAITUH! haha.

And about my jogging mission for yesterday(monday), well I failed. I slept through it. Hahahah. Besides, I think it was raining? alasan... hahaha.

So the moral of the story is: Go watch Madagascar and if you don't find it hilarious, then you suck. LOL. Kidding. But, seriously. hahaha

Daydream and Be Free

Why do we like to talk bad about others? I dunno, maybe some kinda jealousy that we just wouldn't want to admit to? Well I' ve to admit, I talk bad about other people too - I'm no angel, you see. But sometimes I wonder why do I even do it. This is when I usually put on my philosophy hat, which could stretch on for hours because I'd think from one thing to another which consequently overloads this already mixed up mind with loads of trivial things that I don't even have to be bothered with, really. haha. I think I waste most of my time daydreaming. I'm gonna try to stop talking bad about others as well as daydreaming. Think it would be hard, especially the daydreaming part. I just love it. Okay you know what, I changed my mind, I'm just gonna reduce it, not stop once and for all. To daydream is like to get high and escape from the stress and tensions of the real world, only that it's perfectly healthy. No Consumption of any kind of leaves or chemical or anything. Nothing. Just your mind drifting off to that space where you can be anywhere and anything you want to be~ Haha. I'm starting to get carried away with this topic already, which will result in "nonsensical jumble of words"(got that from www.thefreedictionary.com HAHA) So, stopping now.

Well anyways, all I'm saying is...

I LIKE TO DAYDREAM
AND TALKING BAD ABOUT OTHERS IS NOT NICE AND A WASTE OF TIME. BUT MAYBE FOR THE DESERVING ONES, YEA, WHY NOT. HAHA. Why did I capitalize the letters? Beats me.

From this moment onwards, instead of talking bad about others, I shall focus more on the good side of people and thus nice things will be spoken about them. :))

Sleepy and drowsy. Tata~

OH! and another thing, I'm gonna start jogging tomorrow!(hopefully it won't rain or my laziness won't overcome my urge for some exercise). I REALLY REALLY have to start trimming off these excessive fats. Daym. You know the other day at the library, I came up to my friend, Hanif, and stood next to him and he said this to me,

"Yea Joy, you're fat"

T___T

I know that I've gained weight over the holidays, but he didn't have to point it out so blankly to me like that. But, one good thing came out from Hanif's statement. I finally have a strong urge to lose some weight. Haha. In a way, I need to thank him for that actually. So, thanks Hanif. Lol.

Okie, Ciao.

DONE!

WOOHOO!

SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER!

Phew~ what a big load off my back. I know for sure I didn't do well for both papers, considering I took all the time I had for granted and didn't really make full use of it to study. Ohhhhh well.....~~~ Although I know I did badly, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. At least I tried all my best(or lack of) during exams. I made sure I didn't stop answering at the 1st hour(2 hours is the duration for each paper) as I always do when my mind crashes to that one block and I go blank. I squeezed my already squeezed puny brain 'til the very last minute until there was already nothing else to squeeze out. When I do that, I feel a slight satisfaction in some ways. So when the results are finally out and I somehow failed(touch wood), at least I wouldn't feel too bad because I've already tried my best during exam(not in term of studying/revising hehe). Anyhoo, that's all. I haven't had any sleep yet since last night and my eyes are now half-open - they're so heavy! and so is my head.

After two disappointing plans to watch Madagascar 2 at the cinema, I really really hope I could watch it anytime soon... maybe tonight? hehe. If not Madagascar, James Bond will do too! There's something about Daniel Craig that's much more attractive than the previous Bonds.

Till then, tata!

Photoscape

Yeap. It's a "film" of pics I edited using a cool software called Photoscape, introduced by cousin Dayze. I had fun playing with the animation effect where you compile your photos and turn them into an animation, where it looks something like the stop-motion effect. You may call me outdated for only discovering about this thing now, but at least I know about it now than never right? Hehe. Anyway, I uploaded one of my "animation" of myself on Myspace since Myspace is the only place where the animation works, unlike Friendster and Facebook where picture animation doesn't work.

Oh, and I think the film of pictures above is way too small. You can try clicking on it and enlarge it or whatever to make it bigger so you can see how cute Chris and I are~ awww...~ hahaha.

P/S: I should really be studying for my supplementary exams now. Yes Bloggie, I failed two subjects for my finals. Oh hell,I've just realized. First it was Yearbook Yourself, and now Photoscape? Damn, I have a bad feeling for my supplementary exams later. LOL.

Alritey, sleeping time! Turrah~

3) Post that picture with NO editing.
4) Post these instruction with your picture.
5) Tag 10 people to do this

Well, I just wanted to see what's the fuss all about. Curious, curious. =p

And now, I'm completely clueless about the whole thing. Need time to explore. And, WHY..WHY is everyone into Facebook these days!? It's kinda annoying. But what the heck, the delete-account button is just few clicks away. Haha.

OH NO!
Exam results are out! *panting frantically*

Bulan 10 Di Sandakan

Hullo Bloggie~~ long time no see! Hohoh. Been away to Sandakan for 5 days, and there was no internet connection at my dad’s new place(temporary). So, I had to live a 5 days’ life of no internet. But, it wasn’t that bad after all. Besides, I was busy helping my mom clean up the house. The house was so damn big(for me that is), that it took us 2 days(starting from Tuesday) to finish cleaning. The house wasn’t that helplessly dirty but the condition of it was so da very kesian, u know. Just imagine, rows of the floor tiles downstairs and upstairs were popping out, like long triangular hills. I accidentally stepped on top of one of them that my weight cracked it flat back to the ground. Oops. Haha. Oh, and another thing, the house looked more of a jailhouse than a house. There were grills everywhere! At the windows and doors, and the best part is, there were grills at the threshold of the staircase upstairs. They weren’t like those nice pretty grills as you always see – they were bulky black grills with overly done patterns on them. I should’ve taken a picture as proof. One thing good about the house is that you can see the sea from the balcony. It's not so breathtaking though as it is not so high up the hill enough to overlook the vast sea, only a portion of it.

After awhile I understand why the house has so many grills. According to my friend’s dad and uncle, the area where the house is at is a black area, there are many squatter houses there. Yes, I noticed that too and it was kinda scary. There’s a high school nearby, I remember walking to that school to wait for a friend to pick me up by the road side, and there were two groups of school boys a short distance from me infront. All of them looked like punks and were doing the thug-walk with cigarette in one hand. I was behind them and I was like, “shiet, of all the time, why must it be now”. I was a bit nervous, but then I looked at them and they were only some skinny small fries compared to me. I think I’m more tagap than them. LOL. But I was still outnumbered. Dammit. Haha. Anyways, nothing happened to me, in fact they didn’t even looked twice at me. At one point I even thought I wasn’t attractive enough.. hmm. HAHA buduh.

The friend which was to pick me up at the road side was none other than my old time National Service friend at Kem Millennium two years back, Nur Mima Thalhata! Full name lagi. Met up with her and her cousin, and she was still the same ol’ Mima a.k.a Ayu. Gosh, I missed her. Some girl she is, with her own little world and very friendly character. Ironically, she’s much much more slimmer now than when we were in camp last time. Haha. We went to makan and took some pictures at the photo booth. We were so sakai that it took us about an hour, 30 mins more than the given time, for us to finish. Hahaha. It was our first time okay. She belanja me the whole day and I appreciated it very much. Mwah2 Mima ku sayang.

So that was already Thursday.

Moving on to Friday.

We made a move for our journey back home at noon. Stopped at a dusun buah salak in Beluran to buy some buah salak a.k.a bogung for people back home. That was my first time going to a dusun buah salak. I don’t know what they call buah salak in English, but I prefer to call it bogung. Haha. The type of bogung sold there is the honey type. It’s SO sweet and fleshy and they sell it for only RM1.50 per kilo! Normally, they sell them for RM5 to RM6 per kilo outside. But since we went straight to the dusun itself, it was much more cheaper. Triple-fold cheaper. My parents bought a whopping 10 kilos of bogung in the end. Haha. After that, the journey continued. Firstly, the journey from Sandakan to KK is basically like this:

Sandakan --> Telupid --> Ranau --> KK

Between each gap is approximately a 2 hours’ drive. So 2 X 3 = 6 hours of journey, without too many stops.

That was just some additional information I wanted to add. Hehe. Beluran is just along the way to Telupid, so in Telupid, closing to Ranau, my dad made another stop. He wanted to bring me to the Tagal Sungai Moroli, Kg Luanti(Ranau). The river was so clean and there were a lot of freshwater fish there(only one type though). Apparently the fishes are naturally there inhabiting the river and the owner of the river strives to keep it like that. "Tagal" in Kadazandusun means no fishing, so no fishing is allowed there, or else kena sogit(fined) 1 karabau for 1 fish. Haha. The fishes are bunch of friendly creatures. I just fed them simply by putting my fist with the food clasped in my palm on the water surface and all the fishes would start coming out of the water and sucking my fingers everywhere! Good thing they didn’t have any teeth. Phew~

It was already dark when we reached pekan Ranau. I think it was almost 7pm. Had light dinner there and continued heading home. The mist was quite thick along the Crocker Range especially after Kg Kiau. A bit difficult to see the road ahead but my dad is already so familiar with that road that I didn’t have to worry about the mist. Finally we reached home at around 9pm, exactly as my dad had approximated earlier on.

Pretty tired but it’s all good. And one more thing, Sandakan wasn’t as what I had expected it to be. It is a very much advanced town and surprisingly, there’s a lot of Chinese there too. And I also just knew that Sandakan is also known as “Little Hongkong”. No wonder there’s so many Chinese. Duh~ oh and also, Sandakan is a fresh seafood haven for those who LOVE seafood. They sell seafood there dirt cheap, it's unbelievable and plus, they're mostly freshly out of the water! Well, the sea is not that far from reach. You can see it from anywhere, which is very nice.

So there you go. Long summary for my 5 days in Sandakan. Sorry to torture you with only words and no pictures for this entry. Will post up the pictures once I got it.

Edited: this is the only photo I have of the condition of the floors at my dad's place.

Welcome Home

Dear Bloggie,

I'm back at home for holidays now. Touched down at around 10 something last night.

Was pretty tired because of lack of sleep - I was hooked on playing game I recently learned how to play until 7am(WARCRAFT III! Still a noob though. LOL). Had to meet Sis Grace at 9 that morning. After seeing her, went back to sleep at 11am 'til 1pm, I think. Woke up, finish up packing a bit more. Cook some rice for lunch, and cleaned my room and the house while waiting for the rice cooker's "warming" indicator to light up from "cooking". Asked Mr Daling-ku-sayang to take my clothes at the laundry shop downstairs and buy a can of sardins(for lunch. lol). Rice wasn't cooked yet, so I continued on cleaning the house. And when I say house, it's more like the living room because my place is quite small. So the only areas for me to do some quick cleaning are the kitchen and living room. But since the kitchen already looked pretty clean to me, so only left with the living room =p. Nothing much to do really, just a matter of sweeping and arranging things back in their places neatly. Halfway cleaning, my Daling-ku-sayang arrived with the sardins and I went straight to the kitchen and got miself busy; putung2 sayur and bawang smpai nangis2. HAHAHA. seriously. I was sobbing like mad. Damn you onions. Anyway, skipping all the details(like I should have done much earlier lol), the kitchen result is a Nasi Goreng Sardin! ahaha. The rice was so damn much(thanks to someone, he had to scoop out the whole rice cooker) that we were struggling to finish it up. Gahh.. but I gave most of it to him. Served him right. Haha. There's a picture I took of him with his hill of rice but I don't have it with me, oh well~ Finished lunch, went to take a sh0wer to cleanse all the sweats and the onion smell off me. Felt so salty that time like a ikan masin. After that, continued cleaning the living room. I know I know, shoulda done the cleaning before showering, but I couldn't take it anymore that time, I needed a shower badly. Cleaning up my room was much more tiring than the living room. So there you go. Well blah blah blah... done with all the cleaning and packing, changed my clothes and went straight to the airport. It was already 5 and my flight was at 7.30pm. And mind you, I was going to the airport by public transports. Thus, longer time required. I thought I couldn't make it in time to check in, but thank God everything was smooth sailing..~ phew. Met up with Lat at the airport and checked in. And guess what, I had to pay an extra RM15 during check-in 'cause my luggage overweighted for a kilo. Oh, and plus the "luggage handling fee" which was RM10. So the total amount I had to pay was RM25. Pui~ sakit hati btul. Didn't bring that much money(teda duit actually ahaha), so Bart had to pay some of it. Sowie dong~ Boarded the plane at 7 something and off we go to the Land Below The Wind! Lat and I watched new Russell Peters' New York act(2008). Damn funny. We were laughing like asses inside the plane where most of the people were sleeping. They were probably cursing us behind. LOL. Watched Love Guru too but didn't get to finish it because we were almost home! HOHOH~ touched down and thus, Home. hehe. So there you go, my not-so-interesting day. Dunno why I'm even blogging it down. Maybe 'coz now I've nothing to do and bored to death at home so I have all the time I need to do whatever I want to and in my case it's online and TV haha. I need a life.

P/S: Going off to Sandakan to join my dad tomorrow. Not sure if they got internet connection there. But, we'll see. Never been to Sandakan before, so I'm pretty excited. haha.

Fluffy

Yup, that's Fluffy. It's my housemate's cat. It's a "He" by the way. Look at him. I was busy on the laptop and of all places, he had to menyibuk and sleep beside me, not to mention leaning against my hand where it was occupied with my mouse, which made it difficult for me to move around with him leaning against it. He's SO manja. And look, even after I shifted my hand to a much more comfortable position, he slid down slightly from my pillow and still wouldn't budge, and continued sleeping instead! LOL. Lazy cat.

But I still sayang him anyways. FLUFFEH!

God Is A Good God!

Haha. Not being holy and all, but just now I was browsing through the internet for any hymns or christian spiritual songs to help me "lift up" my semangat to study in this very early morning. And I stumbled upon this clip. It's very uplifting! And it's also SO cool because songs are sung in so many MANY different languages.. by a black dood!(don't mean anything racist about it) Amazing. Anyway, here's the clip. Watch it, and you'll know what I mean. ENJOY~~

God is a good God!~~ yesss... help me in exam later on PLEASE! LOL.

My Soul Soothers...

**Take 5 from last-minute study**

I love Sarah McLachlan. She has one of the sweetest and soothing voices ever... it might be different for others, but her voice is just my cup of tea for a good easy-listening song. Whenever I listen to any of her slow numbers, it just relaxes and soothes me until deep in my soul. It's not just because of the melodies.. but the lyrics as well. They calm and even open up my eyes to the things around us. Different songs make me think about different things.. Let me just break it down some to you..

"Angel" and "I Will Remember You"
These songs remind me of those that we love who have left us for the after-life... and also, I plan to have these songs played for my funeral too(not being emo here. Just saying what's on my mind). Maybe I have these thoughts for these songs because of the movie "City of Angels" too? The song "Angel" is one of the OST's. Love that movie.

"World on Fire"
This song makes me think about the world today; all the sufferings that are happening right under our nose but we just don't realize it, or realize it but can't or don't really do much about it to help. The videoclip is the main factor why my eyes are open to these sorts of things. It shows exactly the things that we take for granted - be it big or small things, which could mean a lot and make a huge difference to the underprivileged women, men and children in other troubled and underdeveloped countries. ===> whoah... gila la si Ojoi. Brabis ba. haha

"Ice Cream"
And this number on the other hand is about love.. the tune of this song just makes me sway and daze to my own little world.. or even puts me to sleep. It's a very short song but nice enough to relax to... nothing negative in this one. =p

Well those are some of my favourites from Sarah McLachlan.
There are Aussie chick, Missy Higgins and talented Scottish lass, KT Tunstall too that could bright up my day or make my relaxing time worthwhile.

Missy Higgins:
"10 Days"
"Scar"
"Drowning"
"The River"

KT Tunstall:
"Universe and U"
"Suddenly I See"
"Stoppin' The Love"(check out her awesome live acoustic performance for this song)
"Silent Sea"(nice slow song)
"Other Side of The World"
"Heal Over"(I heart)

Okay, there are still many other great artists with great nice songs out there... but I've yet to discover them. hehe. Try checking out Yael Naim too. Her songs are not bad either.

Last but not least, a live performance by KT Tunstall for Jackson Five's "I Want You Back". AWESOME.

Alritey, back to books again *sigh*
Turrah~!

PONS

No Bloggie... not "Pons" as in Pondans~ haha. It's actually referring to the most well known and ever scary "lady ghost" in Asia.. or Southeast Asia? In Malaysia la pendek kata... it's the..

PONTIANAK

*girl-scream*
*jeng jeng jeng*

or Puntianak as we Sabahans call it. LOL.
Hereinafter, I shall refer it as Pons.

Well anyway, I was browsing through Youtube the other day(don't I always? haha), no, actually, it was Bart browsing through Youtube, and found a clip about Pons. He showed it to me, and I watched it... bear in mind that it was already around 4am that time. It's a home-video someone took at his home in Sandakan. He didn't intend to capture a footage of a Pons or whatsoever, but coincidentally the Pons was there(uuuuu~~~ *jeng jeng jeng* again. hahaha).

I've seen many ghost-sighting clips before(kinda a freak for this sorta thing =p), and to tell you the truth, there's not many that looked real to me. I did found some quite convincing videos though. Anyway, this Sandakan Pons video freaked me out in some ways. It could easily be deemed as fake 'coz really, it doesn't look like much effort needed to make the Pons just like the one in the video. BUT, still, it looks real to me. Probably you need to watch it yourself. It's just a short clip and I'ma post it up here. But before anything, I'd like to warn for those with faint hearts not to watch it. (eseh... mcm lebih2 ja ba haha)

And here comes the horror...... WHORE-ROARRRRRR... hahahah sempat lagi...

Pontianak in Sandakan

"hai slipar.." ---> lawak eh. haha. "pukul ampat lima minit" "Eish, si bui mana? tidur pula c bui ni, buring nya"

hahahaha.. klasik eh cara drg ckp. Sabah abis ni ba. hahaha

ba, about the video, it's up to you to what do you wanna make of it. huahua~

WHOAH!

HOLD ON!

dayum shit. Guess what, I was talking to my housemate about the video just now and she told me about another Pons video on Youtube. But, this time it's in Melaka. This one is a hair-raiser, coz you can actually hear the Pons crying... and it is damn scary, I tell you. Think you should take a look at it.

AGAIN, warning to faint-hearted people. This is a pretty scary shit.

Pontianak Menangis di Jambatan Pulau Gadong - Melaka

brr...heard that high-pitched cry almost like a squeal of a banshee? I dunno 'bout you, but that video sends chills down my spine. DAMN.

It's Like A Broken Record, It Keeps On Playing Endlessly In My Head

The Hunger - The Distillers

Holy eyes, I never knew I'd beg down at your feet

Hold on tight I never knew I'd know much more than this
Open sky, the wave of pain the scent of you is bliss
Hungry eyes, they stare at me I know, I know
Don't go!

Summertime, the taste of saint secretes of perfume mist
Console the mind, I take it in the lips of pink I kiss
Lonely sky, the more you take the more that I give in
Holy eyes, I never knew, I know, I know
Don't go!

Hold on to the memory, yeah, it's all you got
I know you'll be there to soak up blood lost
Blood lost
Blood lost

Don't go!

Hold on to the memory, yeah, it's all you got
I know you'll be there to soak up blood lost
Hold on to the memory, yeah, it's all you got
I know you'll be there to soak up blood lost
Blood lost
Blood lost

Happy Birthday BAPA KU

yup, it's my dad's birthday. He's now turned ...erm.... *taking a calculator to count*...

57!

huahua! All this while I thought it was 56. Haha. Anyways, I called him up at 12 just now to wish him. Seems like he was having some beer with his siblings, and earlier this evening he called me to check up on me, and he told me that when I come back home this 18th October(yes, I'm coming home soon baybeh~ haha), he'd already be in Sandakan - he's accepted the offer to work for the company for another year despite the fact that he had already extended one year previously. I want him to rest already actually. When I asked him why he had accepted the offer, I already knew what he was going to say. It's 'coz I'm still studying. I feel soooo guilty. Oh well, at least he's not paying for my tuition fees. Phew~ haha.

Well, anyhow..

HAPPY 57th BIRTHDAY DADDY!

Have fun BBQ-ing at home~! Sad I can't be there. Huhuh.
Love ya dy~

New Addiction

Well Bloggie, Nat has been talking a lot about Brody Dalle to me. And now I am obsess with her. In case you didn't know, Brody Dalle is the vocalist for The Distillers. Most of you might also didn't know that the band still exists(knew this from Nat's blog - which I never knew existed before until just now. hmmm.) and also Brody has her own "project band" called Spinnerette(also knew this from Nat). Basically, Nat has brainwashed me into obsessing over this band, and not to sound lesbo or anything, but I couldn't get enough of Brody Dalle. She's freakin' HOT! LOL. Seriously, you should go check her out on Youtube or just google her up, whatever. She's got what I call the most ideal body ever!

Alright Joy.. moving on.. haha

Anyway, Spinnerette has officially released their first single from their upcoming album. It's called "Valium Knights". I've been playing this song countless times already, although I've just got to know about it few hours ago. There's just something MAGNETIC about it the first time I listened to it. I still don't have the song in my laptop yet(waiting for Nat to give it to me ;p), but I'm just gonna post up the song clip(with lyrics!) which I found on Youtube.

Here's the lyrics in case you wanna take a look:

Valium Knights - Spinnerette

Harvey Oswalds' dead and gone
He took the last train out of town
One minute man has cocked his load
Yes baby, rooster on parole

Fall into an abyss
Won't you give me, just one last kiss
Valium knights in my bed
Only now, he's a vagrant in my head
Golden love is holding on
Holding onto what we had before

JFK's sun went down
He left the thorns of fallen crown
Marilyn Monroe's come I'll swallow
She is the guts, the glory, sorrow

I'll take it all, give me more
I will be your hero and your whore
Valium knights in my bed
Only now, he's a vagrant in my head
Golden love is holding on
Holding onto what we had before
Loneliness, twilights gone
I don't understand where we went wrong

Other song which I'm listening to a lot as well is: The Hunger - The Distillers
Check it out..

Oh, and one more thing, Brody Dalle reminds me a lot of Kurt Cobain. But in a woman form.

and sometimes Courtney Love too.. but Courtney Love is just plain NASTY.. so cancel her out.

and by the way, do any of you ever watched the series "The L Word"? Well if you ever, Brody reminds me of Shane, or her real name, Katherine Moennig, too.

and since Nat said Katherine Moennig reminded her of Meg Ryan, then I must say that Meg Ryan looks a bit like Brody too..

oh oh, and if you've heard of the band Automatic Loveletter, Nat said the vocalist looked and even sounded like Brody.. I kinda agree too.

AND... I think, Hayley Williams from Paramore also looks like her. Well, I dunno 'bout you, but she does for me. Maybe it's their eyes. hmm...

I Dreamt I Saw A Moo Cow Jump Across the Moon

Here's a very cool song(a bit weird too) by Moloko called "Fun For Me", I'm addicted to it right now. Probably because of all the rhyming. Although the lyrics don't really make sense, it's VERY VERY catchy! Therefore, to share the fun, I've put up the song and lyrics here, so all of you can sing along too. It's FUN! You HAVE to sing along or you would not know what I'm talking about here. It is really fun for me(get it? like the song title? lol.). Alright then, ENJOY!

Fun For Me - Moloko
