Note To Self

Don't Joy.. just don't. Maintain cool and keep it to yourself, yes? YES.

as for others who are curious... don't ask. Even if you asked, I wouldn't tell anyway. This is purely for myself. haha.

The Gossip and SMD

Was hanging out with Achul, Lena, Nizar, Richard, Lionel and Hanif last night when the projector screen was showing this quite obese woman jumping and dancing around in what looked like a VERY tight glittery jumpsuit which showed every inch of her body while doing a cover of the very popular song, Careless Whisper in her own style. I admit her size and jumpsuit was what took my attention away from Achul and Nizar's neverending joke-telling. But what amazed me next when I paid more attention to her were the energy and the wonderful voice she had and how she totally modified Careless Whisper into something else. Some people say that she's like a cross of Mama Cass and Janis Joplin and I do agree so too. This gutsy, talented and energetic woman is Beth Ditto of the band The Gossip. I don't know how to tell more of her in words as I am not very good with literary or such. So I best show you a video of her singing Careless Whisper live. Didn't manage to find the clip I saw last night though, but this will do. We need more singers like her..!

While browsing through her songs and videos on Youtube, I discovered about Simian Mobile Disco(SMD), a remix team. They have one song featuring Beth Ditto which sounds very house to me, the kind of house music that I totally dig unlike the very much techno-ish house music these days. Here's that awesome tune:

It will take some time for me to get bored of that song. I just love it.

This is another amazing beat from SMD. Don't skip through the song; follow through right from the very beginning until the end. Close your eyes and feel the beat! awesome.

That's a masterpiece right there.

NEW VIDEOS

Well hello. It's been a while. Don't worry, regarding to my last entry, nothing happened that day. It was just some BS. So yea, I'm still alive and sound. haha.

Finally I'm updating my blog just when I told Liyana last nightt(she slept over at my hostel room) that I had been very lazy to blog lately. Okay anyway, the reason I'm updating is exactly as what the title says. I have new videos uploaded! hehe. It was from last night's show(yes it was just last night, i'm obviously excited haha); Danny's Cyberpreneuship group had organized a mini acoustic concert at MMU and they had invited me to perform that night. Well, sure enough I have videos of me performing huahua~ I performed three songs which were My Heart(Paramore), Sayang Kinabalu(Kimin Mudin) and Use Somebody(Kings of Leon) accordingly. Hafeez was kind enough to help me out with the guitar and he played the first two songs and the last song, Use Somebody which was requested by our friend, Danny was played by Adi, a very skillful guitarist. I felt humble. haha. So anyway, here are the videos! enzoy~

I'm still waiting for my chance to perform with THE OLD TACTICS!! Please, I'm dying. haha. Bila la kita dapat berminta puji depan REAL crowd niiiii hahha.. "real" crowd aa.. if you know what I mean.. hmm Natalie? hahah!

oh! and HAPPY EIDUL ADHA to all my friends and family~~!
oh and another thing, Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Thiveya!

Eve of The Confrontation

As of today, I wanna wish all my friends and family a good life and I apologize for anything that I have done that might have hurt or offended you. Today is the eve of war for us. If anything ever happened to me, I want you to know, I do not die in vain. I would have my sumpit next to me, and also a handmade bakakuk by my side. I would have asked help from God and my ancestors spirit to help and protect me by giving me extra strength and courage and invincibility(but if I died, I wouldn't be so invincible now would I?). I love you mom and dad.

Kidding. Anyway, I think this war is not worth fighting. It's very immature. As much as I would like to ignore and think that it will not happen, the truth of the matter is that there's a very high chance it is going to happen. Indonesians seem so eager to declare war against Malaysia, they seem so prepared and would die for this. I have to say, some Malaysians were very stupid to provoke Indonesia. We don't have to do the same thing what they did. When they killed a Malaysian there, doesn't necessarily mean we have to do the same. That was just a decoy to trigger a war. They are only seeing the small picture of how malaysians and indonesians are getting along. Truth is we are all living in harmony. I hope this silly war talk will end. One more day, let's pray it will stop. I'd rather die not fighting than to fight a silly war. This is practically a civil war. I don't see the reason for blood spill over this matter. In fact, I don't think there's any reason to start a bloody war. Table talk sudeyh.. haha

bkin takut ni, drg suda kasi sedia drg punya black magic team. Ba, apa lagi, kasi kuar ba kita punya! haha. no no, no war. haha. Sabah Sarawak ok ba kan.. manada issue sma Indo kan sana?~ hehe. haih.. kin takut juga ni. daa..

Free Bird

Hey Ho!

Exam is finally OVERRRRRR~~!

I had my last two papers earlier today. Can't say I did great(bad in fact), it was VERY TIRING! The most last minute study I have ever been in! The result of that was of course, not good. Last minute study blum pnah bagi hasil yg memuaskan. haha. I fell asleep so many times during exam. Danny menjadi saksi when I fell asleep in my "the thinker" pose just now when we were studying last minute for Law(couple hours before paper T__T). Haha. lawak.

Anyhoots, I'm glad exams are finally over. And now since my exam schedule surprisingly ended so early, I have one week break here before I fly off to KK on the 12th. Can't do a lot with friends here now because most of them are still having exams till the 8th or 9th. Perlu cari hiburan sendiri la buat smentara ni(mcm skrg ni). I haven't had any sleep since last night(except for that one hour sleep I managed to steal). Insisting not to sleep because I'm finally free to do whatever I want to.... !! yes, although it means I'm depriving myself from sleep. HAHA. I kid, I kid. Going off to bed soon. Can't hold these eyes any longer. I'm blogging while chatting with cousin Ison, he's showing off his face on webcam. haha. Itam tatap itam, tia lari juga tu itam. akakka.

okay, think that's all. Just a message to whoever's nearby: if you need me, call me. No matter how far, don't worry baby. Just call out my name, I'll be there in a hurry, you don't have to worry..coz baby, there ain't no mountain high enough.. ok, I kid again. Mesej sebenarnya.. sa mo ckp, bawa ja sa kuar if kamu mau. mo minta kawan p mngurat lelaki/perempuan, p tingu kucing birak ka.. sa ikut ja... sementara masih xda idup skg. hahah. bah daa~

Woke Up On The Right Side of The Bed

Herro! hohoho

I have good news - our miniproject is finally a success!! yes... ladies and gentlemen. After countless attempts and troubleshootings which only brought FAILURES, we finally managed to work it out~~ we finally got the freakin' motor running. In the beginning, it only worked when we borrowed one part of our friend's circuit. The result was not that satisfying but at least we got the motor to spin. That was all that the lecturer wanted.. "we try the motor and see, at least we get one spin". Those are his words. Sedih kan? "at least one spin" tu yg bkin sedih. haha. Well indeed we got the spin, and not only one but more than one spin!! muahahhaha!! It was not satisfying because the motor speed was very low and we couldn't get it any more higher. I recorded that moment of truth/victory but stupid me deleted it. And now I do not have any proof to show off haha. After the demonstration with the lecturer, we found the problem in our own circuit and rectified it. We tried our circuit back again and guess what, the circuit was working! but the lecturer didn't get to witness it because he had gone back to his room! It was such a waste because this second try was VERY satisfying for it was of our own circuit, and the motor was running A LOT faster! The speed was like five times more than the first try(where we used our friend's part). We only ran it for a short while because the motor was spinning so fast that it scared us, plus there was some smell coming from the transformer - the lamination of the transformer was melting because the transformer was heating up. We wanted to try it again to record the motor speed(but my handphone memory was full, that's why I had to delete the first video)so that we can show it to the lecturer later on. But this time the motor didn't work at all! T___T such a waste. Then and there I regretted deleting the first video. Well, no matter. It was already great enough that we got it running during the demo. *sigh of relief* You don't know how we worked hard for it.. We were the last group who finished it. Haha..

This is how the project looks like externally. Can anyone guess what box is that that we used? Well, notice the floral patterns on it? Yea, It's a mooncake box HAHA. That is another story. LOL. And by the way, that's the motor behind our project box. The motor is actually the thing inside the glass in between the plate with schematic diagram on it and the striped thingy(metal fins)

And here is how it looks like internally. Mind the messiness, didn't get to tidy it up. hehe

And now I can finally focus on my final exam... yea, I'm having my final exam now. Wish me luck..

Oh oh..! I almost forgot, I had a very nice dream this morning! I dreamt of my GENGKARAS and my cousin, Aping and his family(which strangely enough not his family in real life. dlm mimpi ja dia ckp tu family dia)and Bart, and someone else.. I can't recall already. But the most I can remember is the part with the gengkaras in it. I had a lot of fun in the dream with you guys!~ And you know what, *ktawa sndiri2 bila terpkir blk* I was laughing in my sleep because it was THAT fun and funneh..! seriously, I was like mcmana aa.. mau kasi tunjuk muka pun nda dpt.. nanti sa kasi crita bila depan2.. hahaha. Luckily my roommate didn't sleep in the room today or else it would be very embarrassing. I can still laugh about it until now when I think of it again. Damn nice dream. I was in such a good mood and all smiles when I woke up today. Thus, the title of this entry.

Everything is good today. It started good and hopefully it ends the same as well tonight. hoho.

:)

Bad News Aside.

Posting this entry does not mean I am forgetting of the bad month previously. Life still has to go on. Reality is where we are at now, snap ourselves back into it for our journey is yet to end. But do not worry because memories will forever be intact(unless you suffer amnesia or become senile atau yang sewaktu dengannya).

Well anyway, back to my main topic. I wanna share a video my friend recommended to me on Youtube recently. I think it is one of the most amazing things humans are capable to do. After watching this video you would see our human vocals in a whole new light(and a lot cooler). So, watch.

"Who let the dogs out! *cute puppy bark*" cute! haha.

I know there are tons of other videos such as this. But I am quite fond of this particular one because of its bubbliness(??) and of course the songs they covered, I just love them all! I feel happy watching them. And that is all that matters. hee. Hope you liked it too or at least it cheered you up!

Too early...

Bad news..Calvin didn't make it.. Rest in peace cousin.. you left too early.. there's so much more ahead of you.. our tears are streaming for you, we cannot accept the fact that you're gone. This should not happen. You will be dearly missed as a beloved friend, cousin and most especially brother and son. We will be missing all your magic tricks. Thank you for entertaining. This is too early. I'm at loss of words.. Sorry if we are making it hard for your soul to go in peace but we can hardly let you go just yet.. It's so fast. Some of us are still wishing that this is not true. And one of them is me. This is one of those times where I think life is not fair..

My heart goes out to aunty, uncle, Connie and Carol.. Condolences to you all..

Read here for the news about the accident.

Pray Like You've Never Prayed Before.

Our dear cousin, Calvin met with a terrible accident and now in a hospital in a critical stage. This news shocked me very early in the morning when Aping called me this morning around 7AM. I don't quite know what has actually happened, but all I know is that it must have been a very bad one as someone died according to what I have been informed. I was told that Calvin was with his friends and their car hit the back of an Invader. I believe they were speeding because now he is in a coma after a head surgery. Really really hope he is going to be alright. I have sis Karen to feed me in with the details and I sure hope I can get as much details as I can. Wish I could go there to visit him myself but he's way over in Perlis. I don't mind going there this weekend if somebody would accompany me. Damn, this is really heartbreaking. Really hope he's gonna do some magic like he always does and recover miraculously. We're praying for you couz, please be strong and wake up. Wake up for your family especially. Lord please have mercy on him..

To anyone who's currently reading this, I'm begging you to help pray for him too..

Sunny Day. Too Sunny.

Hello Blogblog.

Earlier today, I had a netball tournament. It was just a small league.. not a big one. It was a one-day open league held in Dengkil organised by Kelab Sukan Komuniti(Dengkil.. maybe), so there were quite a number of aged women playing as well. Some of them were from Polis, Taman Cangga Jaya(TCJ), Taman Bukit Cangga(TBC. I think I got that right), Boundary, Kemas, Sungai Buah something.. I remember they sent two teams and the other was called Fruit River something.. but I know the initials were FRT(Fruit River Team? maybe, I don't really care), and Bomba but they couldn't make it because they had some fire extinguishing to do. No, seriously. Though it was funny to us when they announced that. Sepang was there too I think.. can't really recall. Those were all the teams that I could remember.

Anyway, we were the first team to play that morning. The morning sun was just nice, not too hot - it was only eight something in the morning. Well, we had a good start since we won the first game but I didn't take part as I was heading back to hostel that time to change my short pants to long ones. Apparently, short pants(except for quarter pants) weren't allowed on the game although they didn't mention that during the briefing. Yet they insisted that they have. Personally, I don't think they did. Sabar ja la kan.

Moving on..

Second game was very tiresome. The sun was coming up and shining so brightly. It was damn hot and most of us were not fit enough to play since we were so used with playing indoor and at night. So outdoor game especially on the field is our weakness. We were playing against TBC and had to bite the dust to a 1-9 score. You know what, I'm really not sure what was the score but the range is somewhere there. hehe. They were kinda good so no hard feelings although we really felt that the refirees were paying too much attention on our mistakes instead of theirs. Pendek kata, bias la juga. But nevermind..~Among all the games, for me this second one was the most tiring. Oh, one more thing, I think the opponent's WA hated me. haha. I was playing WD :)
Can't blame her since the refs weren't really doing their job in being just so I thought I might as well just play rough and ignore the rules too like most of them.

So on to the third game. If I remember correctly I think we played against Sungai Buah something. Well again, the WA hated me. Haha. Oh well...~ they shoulda played by the rules or else I'm gonna be contacting my body with them a lot, well indeed I did. haha. Sampai satu kali tu sa terpeluk lagi dia coz x sempat break bila melompat. HAHA...~ sorry WA~ lol. Okay, so I didn't remember the score. But all I know is that we won. huahua. So the chance of getting a place in the top 3 was still on. And again, the sun was unbearably hot. It was definitely not siding us because everytime we started to play the sun would come out and fry us but would be behind the clouds whenever we weren't playing. The sun was being bias on us too. Jahat.

Moving on to the next game. This time it was Kemas team. All the players were makcik2.. and they were friendly so that was a good thing. Finally, a friendly team. It was an easy game though and we beat them to erm.... I forgot the scores again. Sorry. hehe. But we won, that's all that matters haha. So that wrapped up our position in the semi-final to get into the final. We were first runner up to Taman Bukit Canggang.

Our bodies were burning like crazy by this time. Damn hot, seriously.

After a ten-minute break, final round was on. Our next game was against TCJ. This game was to determine our placing in the top 3. If we could beat this team, we could have the chance of getting the 1st or 2nd place. But sadly enough, we lost. They were really good, and we were not expecting to win against them anyways. hehe. That team was friendly as well so no hard feelings there too. The GD was damn good.

So our last and final game was against Boundary. We beat them senseless. 2 -13 if I'm not mistaken. By this time all of us was already starving and couldn't wait to get over with the last game. Our heads were only filled with one thing : KFC. haha. That was an enough motivation for us to try to win the game. And we sure did. huahua!

So there you go. My netball day. hehe. We got the third place. Not bad as the top 4 teams got cash and hamper. Third placing got RM150. Still, not bad because the fee for entering the league was only RM30. So, it was worth it. hehe. After everything was done, we headed straight to Alamanda's KFC outlet. huahua~ habis trus duit utk mkn jak. haha. budu.

The "hot" game has resulted in my overly "tanned" face and arms.. adui. bida ni~ trus p bli whitening cream tadi. blum pnah2 ni pkai seblum ni tau. haha.

So here are some pictures for the day although I must say I don't have any of our group pictures. They were on other people's cameras :D

This is the medal. Nice right? It's made of glass.

Told you it was glass. See? It's see through! hahaha *loser*

The hamper

And of course, the KFC leftovers. hahaha

And finally, Si Komunis Itam! haha!

That picture was taken during the break after the 2nd game... I think. So, imagine how much darker I am after all the games. *pengsan*

All right, very lengthy entry this time. hehe. tata

Starting Is The Hardest Part

I'm talking about my assignment. I'm on my 1 week's midterm break now and I have the full intention of finishing my assignment within this time. I really really wanna finish it early because after that I need to find some time for myself to study for my midterm test which is right after the break. And mind you, the assignment is due on the last day of the break.

Well anyways, I have started halfway through my assignment two days ago. Well not exactly halfway.. probably a quarter.. hmm.. (mati la).. and I have been sitting in front of my laptop for the past two days but could never get myself back on the assignment. It's so hard...~ aduii... The first time was hard enough already for me to get started.. I was honestly worried when I stopped 2 days ago.. because I knew this would definitely happen. Starting back on the assignment is really hard once I've stopped. Budu o. kin panas ni. Like today, I have initiated to do it at about 2pm. But NO... siap p men Rock Legends di FB lagi(siap blk2 refreshing the page coz balik2 error). Okay then I thought I could get started once I was done with Rock Legends.. but no, then it was on to Mafia Wars.. and Street Racings.. and downloading Jay Chou's songs(one by one for a whole album). I know, tiba2 kan? And you know what's better?... after downloading the songs, I couldn't help but to sing along to them repeatedly(not that I know chinese) - with the help of "pinyin" lyrics on the net. So there I was singing along to mandarin songs dgn penuh emosi. I wonder if my chinese neighbour heard me.. Wouldn't be surprised if she did since I didn't put any effort in keeping my voice down.

And it doesn't stop there. I went to check my blog. Then I checked Jerry's blog.. then Liyana's... Zella's...Chris'... Hazel's.. Jojo's.. basically the whole gengkaras. One link after another. and lain la kalu sa baca seimbas2 ja.. ni yg btul2 bca ni. PUNYA LA. Then I felt so irritated with myself.. sebab xda disiplin. haha. And now, here I am.. blogging.. coz I feel like "expressing" myself *coughbullshitcough*. Really, starting is the hardest part or in my case re-starting. palui. This Thai song playing on my player now is making me sleepy. shit.

okay I best be out of here.. before I sidetrack some more.. daa..

Yasmin Ahmad

See how great a lady she was. How intelligent she was and how beautiful her heart was.. how I wish all of us could think and see things the way she did.. Now that she's gone, we have lost one of our most precious pearls. May her soul rest in peace and may her legacy continues through her works, family, friends and all the people who have worked with her.. You will always be remembered Yasmin Ahmad for you have made us proud. Your country will now realize what they have really been missing all these years. I wish to apologize on behalf of those who did not appreciate what you were trying to do and thank you for your guts, courage, love and beautiful films. You have brought people of all races and religions together. You are the epitome of how a Malaysian should be like in order to live in peace and harmony in this multiracial country. It is devastating that you have to leave us so suddenly when we desperately need more people like yourself which this country is obviously lacking. You will truly be missed and remembered by people from all walks of life around the world. You are an inspiration to a great number of us and your works will be forever in our hearts.

RIP Yasmin Ahmad, the storyteller with a gentle heart & soul.

Tiaw.

Those are pictures of my campus area. Yea, my campus is a misty place with fresh air all around despite its location in the middle of a practically deserted place. We have to wear sweaters or thick clothes to go to class because it's that cold.

-_____-"

Pfft, misty my ass. That's no mist, that's all bloody HAZE! gademit.

All this haze is making my body all sticky and uncomfortable to breathe. Such a nice touch to the swine influenza pandemic . Very nice, good goin' humans. We're doing a great job for our part in making this world a better place to live *thumbs up*.

And this is the most recent one. Just took it moments ago from my bedroom window. Look how bad it is. Oh my.

Can't wait for this haze to disperse. It's driving me somewhat mad.

I miss the good air at home now.

Blog Walking.

hmm.. getting slightly bored now. Looking through friends, family and relatives' blogs while waiting for Natalie them all to pick me up which they said they would around 3pm. Reading through others' blogs makes me feel like I'm not living my life to the fullest yet. I gotta start to do so. I don't wanna be one of those who regret in their later years for not enjoying their youth days to the max. I don't know when I'm gonna start but I'm guessing it would be a slow start. That's okay for me. Confidence and courage is all I need.. and also love and support from loved ones.

Okay, Natalie just texted. They're leaving Jojo's house now.

For an unrelated note: Zella, sa mimpi ko mo kawin suda. Btul ka tu? haha

I Feel Like A Genius.

So I was figuring a way to keep my circuit board in a more secure place rather than in a plastic bag. And there it was lying insignificantly on the bookshelf - my empty tissue box which I should have thrown away days ago. Guess that happened for a reason.... which is exactly what this entry is all about. So anyway, I took the tissue box and creatively stared at it for some time, and *ting!* a bright idea came into mind. So I started cutting up the box and made a simple open-and-close box. I tried putting in the circuit board inside, and what d'ya know, it fitted perfectly!. I felt like I had just invented a wonderful machine. I felt so intelligent. Of course, it's not any high-tech machine or anything, but because of its high convenience amidst its simplicity(and not to mention cheap) that makes it great! haha. mengada2. Anyways, here is the "invention"!

tadaaa...~! hahahah

And here's when it's closed(I know, as if it's so hard to imagine right? But just bear with me please. haha)

What's more, you can peek on the inside too!

Front view

It's so convenient, you can carry it anywhere without fearing of damaging your circuit board and components! Come on, try it at home~ hahaha..

Sakai oh ni anak.. haha.. well this pleasures me and it's my blog ain't it..? haha~ Alright, that's the end of my invention.. Bye~

*PREMIER tissue(100 pulls/ two ply; recyclable), I just gave you a free promo. You owe me one.

You WIll Always Be Remembered...

Man In The Mirror

by Michael Jackson

Ooh ooh ooh aah
Gonna make a change
For once in my life
It's gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right

As I turned up the collar on
My favorite winter coat
This wind is blowin' my mind
I see the kids in the street
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind
Pretending not to see their needs

A summer's disregard
A broken bottle top
And a one man's soul
They follow each other
On the wind ya' know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change, yey
Na na na, na na na, na na na na oh ho

I've been a victim of
A selfish kinda love
It's time that I realize
There are some with no home
Not a nickel to loan
Could it be really pretending that they're not alone

A willow deeply scarred
Somebody's broken heart
And a washed out dream
(Washed out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind ya' see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that change

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror, oh yeah)
I'm asking him to change his ways, yeah
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change
You gotta get it right, while you got the time
'Cause when you close your heart
(You can't close your, your mind)
Then you close your mind

(That man, that man, that man)
(That man, that man, that man)
(With the man in the mirror, oh yeah)
(That man you know, that man you know)
(That man you know, that man you know)
I'm asking him to change his ways
(Change)
No message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself then make that change

(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)
Ooh
Oh yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
(Na na na, na na na, na na na na)

Oh no
Oh no, I'm gonna make a change
It's gonna feel real good
Sure mon
(Change)
Just lift yourself
You know, you got to stop it yourself
(Yeah)
Oh
Make that change
(I gotta make that change today, oh)
(Man in the mirror)
You got to, you got to not let yourself, brother oh
Yeah
You know that
(Make that change)
(I gotta make that make me then make)
You got, you got to move
Sure mon, sure mon
You got to
(Stand up, stand up, stand up)
Make that change
Stand up and lift yourself, now
(Man in the mirror)
Make that change
(Gonna make that change, sure mon)
(Man in the mirror)
You know it, you know it, you know it, you know
(Change)
Make that change

RIP now MJ, your sudden passing has left us speechless and in grief. You have certainly made a change in so many ways. With that, we want to thank you for your music, passion and most importantly your kindness. Your legend will forever lives on.. we love you.

So Here I Am...

... online-ing from my hostel room. ekekeke. So far, there's only two of us here.. there's supposed to be another girl but she hasn't "checked in" yet. I am hoping that she's changed her mind and decided to stay off campus instead. The reason I said that is exactly just as the saying goes: "two's a company, three's a crowd". It's pretty comfortable here with only us two roommates and I'm so grateful that my new roomie is unexpectedly a friendly one and healthy too(she does Yoga. Her Yoga mat is hanging on the cupboard). haha.

So, for my new resolutions for this sem... I am determined to lose weight before sis Grace's wedding in November and also to be more disciplined in my studies(although I have just missed two classes today T__T) especially now I'm taking Miniproject. It's like a final year project but only mini. Hence the name, Miniproject haha. Our project title is "DC Motor Speed Control System Design". The lecturer showed us some of the seniors' works and they actually looked pretty interesting. I'm quite nervous about doing this project because a lot of commitment and determination should be put in doing this. Well, harap2 bulih buat la kan~ huhu.

As for now, sa masih terkapai2 mo cari combination lock for my luggage. nda puas hati ni, sa yakin bulih unlock ni. If you still remember, I mentioned about my locked luggage last time.. yes, the combination for the lock is still yet to be figured out. haha. I have tried all the combinations, that is from 001-999, once. But I shall try again for the second time later on. I might be rushing too much just now, there could be some careless mistake there. yakin ni, yakin. haha

bah~ itu ja la kio~ daaa..~

edited: yea, I did try 000 for the combination lock.

Balik Kampung

Well Bloggie, mom was admitted to the hospital for one night last Friday. Don't worry, nothing too serious. Anyway, we took turns accompanying her at the hospital. She's home now, but need to check up on her from time to time; can't really leave her alone too much, in case something happens *touch wood*. Oh no, she's not bedridden. huh.

There was a cousin's wedding reception the next day at my dad's hometown(a.k.a kampung), and since mom couldn't attend it with dad, I had to go on behalf of her. And thus, I had to cancel my island trip with friends on Sunday(sorry friends for the let-down). While on the way to Ranau, I managed to camwhore but mostly took pictures of the undeniably majestic Mount Kinabalu. I couldn't resist from taking pictures of the mountain; the sky was so clear that you could actually see the mountain terrains..and the long and narrow white line of a waterfall cascading down the steep mountain side. It never fails to amaze me, that mountain. But the main reason that triggered me to take tons of photos(in hopes of getting the perfect shot) of the mountain was because of the umbrella-looking cloud over the mountain top. I've seen that type of cloud in a picture of some mountain on the internet during one of my internet-surfing times before, and amazed by it very much. So to actually see it right infront of my very own eyes was like whoah! sakai. hahah. It was this picture that I'm talking about:

I know, ain't that a sight to behold. Apparently that type of cloud is called the "lenticular clouds"(Google it if you want to know more). But the one at Mount Kinabalu was not really much as this one, the shape was definitely there though. hehe. Okay2, here's the picture...

Can you see it? It's that cute little lens shaped cloud right on top of the mountain. Sorry for the blurriness. It was captured while the car was moving. And here's me taking pictures of what was left of the fading clouds at Nabalu(Kundasang)..~

Dad wanted to take a picture too for his laptop wallpaper. haha.

Macam di Jipun kan? boleh kasi jadi gambar poskad ni tau.

Alright, enough about the lenticular clouds(uuuu~ mentang2 la new word, mo juga pkai balik2 haha). We headed to Ranau and went to the wedding. It was definitely not one of the merriest ones because not many came.. most of the people only came for only a short while for they had few more wedding receptions to rush to. There were A LOT of weddings on that particular day. I counted, there were about six to seven!(five in Ranau alone, one was my neighbour and another one I saw while on the way to Ranau) The theory is because of the date: 6th day of the 6th month and the 6th day of the week. Isn't that supposed to be an evil number? you know, 666... hmm? *Heaven and Hell - Black Sabbath song pops in head at this point*. Whatever it is, congrats to cousin Anun and hubby.. slamat pengantin baru.. Here's the only "good" picture I have of them..

Yea, I know, bad photographer. It was on zoom mode.. because people were crowding infront to take pictures too.. And for those who don't know, my cousin(the bride) is dressed in Dusun Ranau(not really sure which specific Dusun tribe) traditional clothing. Again, congrats to them. At the wedding, I had the chance to meet and catch up stories with my cousin, Dianne! It's always fun chatting with her.

The next day, dad and I stopped by at the Tiong Hua Cemetery("tiong hua" simply means "chinese people" in Hokkien according to dad) to visit my grandparents' grave since Kongkong's(grandpa) 12th death anniversary and Nenek Cina's 10th(I just found out during the visit that they share the same deathday) was the day before, which was June 6th. That was the first time I visited the grave after it was cemented. The last time I came was still of earth and wood as marking. Grass was all over the gravesite, woulda brought something to clean it if planned earlier. Sempat cabut rumput sikit2 ja.. sepertimana yg boleh dilihat di dalam gambar. haha.

So, that's all as an update for my holidays. haha.

p/s: Dad is flying back to Sandakan this morning and Inden's flying back home from the Phils today. One leaves, another one comes.

Cheers~!

Oh Dear..

I can't believe how cruel our very own locals can be. This is a true story of dogs being exiled to an inhabitable and isolated mangrove island, and all this is happening in Selangor. I've read about this on Star news last week and my heart just ached for those poor and pitiful dogs out there. They provided a link for us to visit, but I only got the chance(or remembered) to actually visit that link just now. Here is something from the link(http://www.mycen.com.my/rescue) to clarify what is really happening to those of you who doesn't have any idea about this.

"About 300 stray dogs were rounded up
by Pulau Ketam residents and deported
to an isolated island to fend for themselves.

Over half of them are already dead and the
remaining ones may not live long. A rescue
mission is being mounted and your help is needed."

The residents of Pulau Ketam sent some 300 stray dogs to exile on a remote island where the harsh conditions almost certainly guarantee a horrible death. Of the 300 dogs sent there, more than three-quarters are presumed to be already dead. I traveled to the island with Sabrina Yeap of Furry Friends Farm and managed to save only one dog on this reconnaissance trip. We did see several other starving and dying dogs along the mangrove shore.

I am mounting an urgent rescue mission to capture and transport the remaining survivors back to Sabrina's Furry Friends Farm animal shelter. But time is running out and there might be only skeletons and carcasses left to collect on our next trip. Boat hire is expensive there. It is a tourist area and it has already cost me a few hundred ringgit for boat hire alone, so far. The rescued dogs cannot be transported on the regular ferries.

Almost nobody will lift a finger to help without a fee. This is understandable. The locals are already shaking their heads in disbelief that there are outsiders who want to save the animals they so casually discarded. Instead of pointing fingers and antagonising them, we need their co-operation to help save the unfortunate creatures. In the process, we also hope to educate the islanders on better treatment of animals. It would be an impossible mission if we didn't win their hearts.

To help, e-mail TV Smith at tvsmith@mycen.com.my or Sabrina Yeap at yeapwen@yahoo.com

Fellow bloggers, you can also help by embedding the appeal poster above to your blog and linking to http://www.mycen.com.my/rescue (this page)

We are aware it is a monumental task and appreciate all forms of support, assistance, suggestions, encouragement and your prayers.

Thank you and don't forget to view the pictures of the dogs in order to appreciate their plight.

I Learned It From My Mama

Which happens to be one of my favourites.

The ingredients:
1. Ikan masin
2. Beras
3. Bawang(optional)
4. Limau(optional)
5. Lada/cili (optional)
6. Air minum

Lagi bagus kalu ada suma la. Lagi sadap. Mcm kes sa, sa teda tu lada. So, mcm nda puas sangat. Tapi tu pun untuk orang yg makan pedas ja la. hehe.

Cara memasak:
1. Guring tu ikan masin smpai mcm suda masak or rangup2. Ikut citarasa la.
2. Eh, sebelum tu masak nasi dulu geng.
3. lepas siap tu ikan masin, ko tumis la tu bawangs. Jan la smpai hangus, but just nice. Cepat hangus tu.
4. And then ko perah limau la tu ikan masin.. pakai tu minyak juga ckit kasi jadi kuah2 knun. Trus kasi picit2 la lada klu mau... kasi campur sma tu limau2.. wah sdap oo.. berliur trus sa imagine(walaupun sa baru ja makan).
5. Trus senduk la nasi ke pinggan. Make sure pinggan tu ada dalam sikit, bukan flat ja. Mangkuk pun bulih la kalo gitu.
6. Pastu, ko tuang la air atas nasi tu(kasi jadi sup la kenen kali tu). Tu air untuk jadi penawar tu masin. aiseh. haha.
7. Ko makan la sama tu ikan masin yang suda perah limau tu. Kasi tuang tu kuah2 ikan masin atas tu nasi sup air tu. wah sedap.

Itu la resipi ringkas makanan kampung mama sa. Walaupun, part tuang air atas nasi tu mungkin kurang menyelerakan bagi anda, tapi belum cuba belum tau. Hahaha

bah k la, tu ja ba tu. saja ja mo blog. Since tu ja pemakanan sa buat beberapa hari ni, so I decided to make a tribute of it here. Hahah.

Tapi apa2 pun, thanx mom!

bila la duit mo masuk ni...

edited: uina, mcm tau2 ja dadi sa pokai oo.. baru ja dia kol smlm bgtau duit suda masuk. hahhahaha.. thanx dy!

Another One for The Night..

I'm currently so absorbed with Chris Cendana's songs. He's a singer/song-writer on Youtube. I honestly think he's very talented(aside from the good looks too) and his music is from the heart. The song below is one of my favourites and proof of his good music too. It's called "Without You".

"This is a song for those who really miss the people they love when they away."

"Without You" by Chris Cendana
Copyright 2008 Chris Cendana

Sign says 5 miles
and I feel it's my fault this time
that you're walking away to get on a plane
and fly away

you'll be on time
and I'll be waiting on standby
Till the next time we fly
or text something like
"goodbye... I'll see you next time"

No dry eyes tonight
When I'm reaching over to you
To find I'm missing you
I'll just hold on tight
And close my eyes
Cause I can't see myself without you

We'll be fine
I just wish I could turn back time
And know the dim lights would mean
You'd at home with me
But I will know next time

No dry eyes tonight
When I'm reaching over to you
To find I'm missing you
I'll just hold on tight
And close my eyes
Cause I can't see myself without you

The path is lonely
As the labor seems more like pain
My soul is heavy
Waiting to see you again
Again

No dry eyes tonight
When I'm reaching over to you
To find I'm missing you
I'll just hold on tight
And close my eyes
Cause I can't see myself without you
No I can't see myself without you

You'll be on time
And I'll be waiting on standby

Check out his Youtube here to see more of his music. And please, if anyone has his album or other songs(mp3's), please share them with me. Thanks.

That Time of Year Again.

Hullo-mullo Bloggie,

Okay, putting aside my holiday idea with the Gingkaras , just a little update here.. I'm actually having my study week now, it's only a matter of days to final exam. May 18th which is this coming Monday. Studying progress is slow, been going to the library 'till wee hours of the morning and having trouble sleeping. Being a little bit of an insomniac I supposed. It really sucks because I really really really want to get enough sleep.

Oh, and the rain has FINALLY made a comeback! yeay. hehe. But the rain last night was a bit too much, all cats and dogs. It caused a small flood up to my ankle. Again, I couldn't get any sleep last night, and Dayze was awaken by the sound of the monsterous thunder. Both of us couldn't get any sleep after that and so we watched a ghost movie entitled "Moui". It's a Korean movie, the film locations are in Korea and also Vietnam. The movie was pretty good - Recommended. And you know what other movie you should watch? The Uninvited. Not the latest movie but for those who've never watched it yet, it's highly recommended too.

Well anyways, Dayze had just left for Indonesia with Aaron earlier this morning at 9 something in the morning. A short vacation which only gonna be about three days. Wish I could have one too, but exams *sigh*

Alright then, I guess that's all. Gotta hit the library again. Ciaos people..~

Yellow Butterfly

She was just five years old.
A slightly moody day.
She couldn't stay away, from that rivers edge and I.
I turn my back to count.
All the daffodil seas that surrounded.
I close my eyes, and then heard the water wake up.

And I, I can still hear that scream, It's still lingering, in the air, everywhere.
"Mother, please save me, grab my hand" (I can't I can't)
I can still see that face, sink beneath the waves. Baby please, breath for me, give me time I am here.

Where did you go?
Where'd you go?
Where'd you go?
Hey, where'd you go?

Were the angels that lonely?
Couldn't they suffice for anybody else?
Can't everybody just lie to me.
She's home, she's home. Crying for me now.
Every night on a Monday, I will visit the same spot that I hate.
Yes the place that baby loved, and now she can taste it, oh it took her away.

It's been five years since then.
And when it hits September..
I'll feel like I'm dying again.
Ian still won't even talk to me, talk to me!
Isn't this pain, guilt enough?
I can't even look out the window, without seeing reflections distorted in the sun.

And I, I can still hear that scream, It's still lingering, in the air, everywhere.
"Mother, please save me, grab my hand" (I can't I can't)
I can still see that face, sink beneath the waves. Baby please, breath for me, give me time I am here.

And the pain hits me like gunshot.
And I'm heading on the way to the floor, I hear her name and it kills me.
Oh, Bottles up, Bottles up, Bottles up.

And I'm trying my best to hurt me.
Ian says it's never enough.
A razor to the wrist for each unshed tear, cough it up, drink it up, drink it up.

So I had a coma, when I crashed my car in the lake.
I saw your face down there I knew, it was not a mistake.
So I went to the doctor. I told him, oh my heart will break, If I couldn't see you. He just, gave me more pills.

But, I saw you up there.
Still floating by the river.
God, you always loved that river.
I bet your heaven looks just like it.

Then I'll like it too, even though it scares me now.
But when I'm with you.
I'll be just fine, I'll be just fine.

We can sit, we can talk about, talk about...Butterflies. Butterflies. Butterflies.

Wind of Change

Rest is what every one of us should have once in awhile.
A break from life's infinite dramas.
It either make you or break you.
But most of the time it is the former.

I am having mine now.
Expecting it to bring more good than bad.
Seeing things in a whole new perception.

Siok juga la.

:D

Exactly

"Life is short
Break the rules
forgive quickly
kiss passionately, love truly
laugh constantly
And never stop smiling
no matter how strange life is
Life is not always the party we expected to be
but as long as we are here, we should smile and be grateful."

Happy Birthdays

Firstly, I'd like to wish Baby Jade a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She would have been 10 by now. Wish I could have the chance to dream of her all grown up, always wanted to and still do.

On the same note, someone very important to me is celebrating his birthday today as well.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE! (nah, bulih pi mengundi suda.)

and also sorry, sorry and sorry a million times(I could say this forever)!! You know I didn't mean to do that on purpose~
Love you! =D

Reason for apology:

Earth Hour 2009

It was sad to see that not many people cared much about it. Lights weren't turned off(even though we shouted them all the way from the balcony to do so).

Anyway, another jamming session at Jojo's place. This is a cover of Tegan and Sara's "Call It Off". A little something during Earth Hour.

We covered four songs for this jamming session, which were:

1. Call It Off - Tegan and Sara
2. Burn Your Life Down - Tegan and Sara
3. Roses - Meg and Dia
4. The Boring Life - Slycaps

Check out the videos on our Youtube account. Though I'm not sure whether or not they have been uploaded. Haha

Anyhoots~ Enjoy!

Eat Your Heart Out.

Hands are shaking
Heart is breaking
I feel nauseous
The feeling intensifies
Could someone get the doctor
It is so messed up inside

Help me to relieve it all
Words might do to get rid of it
Just give it a try, give it a try..

Why must it ache this way
This feeling inside can no longer be contained
I've tried to make it go away
But to no avail
I'd just break down and cry

I feel paranoid
The world seems so cruel
Could I just bury myself alive
With this ground we live on?

'Depression' is the word for this
I think I should eat it all away
What should it be? Chocolate or ice cream?
I shall go with ice cream!

Eat it all away..
eat it all way

or maybe..
I should sweat it all away..
I'll try the gym instead!(but I hate the gym)
Jogging will do then! (but it's so boring)
Well in that case, Sports will be just the thing!
(UH-HUH!)

Who am I kidding..
I'd just resort to ice cream AND chocolate in the end..

Eat it all away..
eat it all away..

Depression could just eat us up someday

Old Tactics!

Well dear blog, it's as the title says, our band's name now is Old Tactics! After much considerations over many other suggestions with "Dodol" in it. Anyway, Jojo, Awang, Talie and I had another jamming session last Sunday at Jojo's place. This time we recorded some videos. Well, actually A LOT OF videos which were mostly of wrong takes. And mind you, we were only jamming for three songs but there are like three times more than just three videos. My throat was sore by the time we got it right, which of course didn't really sound great since my throat was already sore(ALASAN~) hahah. Natalie had uploaded the three videos on Youtube which she also featured in her blog. Therefore, I will just link the entry of her blog containing the videos here because I'm too lazy to post the videos up here myself. haha.

If you have some spare time, do check up on us. Or even better, subscribe us on Youtube if you have a Youtube account. hihi~ oh yea, forgot to mention, we did covers for Tegan & Sara's "The Con" and "I Know I Know I Know", and Paramore's "My heart". Feel free to laugh at us(especially me).

Enjoy! (eventhough there are mistakes here and there)

Chocolate Personality

I am having a mad chocolate craving on this very early morning. I can't do anything at this hour but to just google about chocolate and drool over pictures. Anyway, as I was browsing just now, I remembered of this "chocolate personality" thingy. So I googled it up, wondering what could be my so-called chocolate personality. There were tons of results from the search. But I picked this particular one simply coz it's simple and straightforward. I like.

This Is Overwhelming

Someone has stopped talking to me. It hurts real bad. It's overwhelming that I can't contain my tears from flowing.

I hope you read this.. I want you to know that I don't want things between us to remain like this for long. I can't keep up, it's tearing me inside.

Sorry if I have hurt you too. Let's shake hands and forget everything..
